Wednesday, August 27th, 2008

Families booking ski holidays to Andorra will be pleased to hear that children under the age of 14 are now eligible to receive free ski passes.
According to the Ski Club of Great Britain, the passes will be available to those booking with certain British and Irish tour operators.
The scheme has been launched in an effort to boost visitor numbers to the area and widen the appeal of the Andorra’s ski resorts.
A five day ski pass in Andorra usually costs around 175 euros, with a season pass coming in at 845 euros.
Aside from skiing and snowboarding, those visiting the area have the opportunity to visit the Pyrenees’ first ice hotel, enjoy a helicopter sightseeing ride and take a trip to the tubing slopes.
The Ski Club of Great Britain also reports that over 20 million euros have been invested into improving the region’s ski facilities.
