Andorra Goes Upmarket
Thursday, March 15th, 2007
Andorra has moved up in the ski world, from being an affordable resort to luxury resort for those wishing to indulge on a ski holiday, it has been claimed.
Neilson Ski reports that following more than £100 million of investment Andorra is now in the elite class of ski destinations.
The money, it reveals, was invested in a fast contemporary lift system, sophisticated piste grooming equipment and modern hotels.
Nonetheless, Andorra still caters to those on a budget ski holiday, with Neilson Ski citing Hotel Catsby in Pas De La Casa and the St Roma Apartments as being best suited to those looking for a bargain holiday.
Additionally, Neilson Ski notes that the resort could also appeal to those on a family ski holiday, with family friendly restaurants and activities such as dog sledding on offer.
Furthermore, it recommends the Sporthotel and the Piolets Park and Spa as "great family options" due to their respective free hotel-run children’s club and programme of children’s activities.
