This is because the majority of tour operators actually produce their brochures for the next ski season as soon as the current season starts! If you are prepared to book well in advance you could be treated to some great early booking discounts or even price freezes.
Even more deals may be available in the summer before the season begins, this is when the tour operators really want to get bookings moving for the winter. You could end up with money off your holiday or free ski lift vouchers, the perfect addition to your package.
Late deals may appear in Autumn, as hotels and resorts will realise that they have not sold the required amount of rooms, these deals will continue throughout the ski season so don’t feel pressured to pick the first one you see – you could get a great deal for the period of time you want to go.
Demand is extremely high during the holiday season of Christmas and New Year. You will be lucky to find a great deal at this time as it is peak season, so if you see something that takes your fancy don’t forget to grab it!
Last Minute Deals
Late deals offer you great savings, they may only appear a few weeks or days before the holiday is due to begin, so you need to be prepared to move quickly. These deals are particularly great if you don’t really mind where you visit as long as there is snow for your skis, and leaving it late means you know exactly where that snow has fallen! That being said, you need to be very flexible, it is unlikely that the perfect late deal will be available for you, so consider all of your needs before you decide to wait. If you’ve got special requirements a late deal may not be right for you.
Late deals are often only available during the low season too, so that includes time before Christmas and then January and March onwards. Peak time holidays are unlikely to appear as a late deal, although you can’t rule it out!
