Located approximately 150 kilometres from the Arctic Circle, Iso-Syöte is Finland`s southernmost fell region. It also happens to be the area of Finland that has the most snow. The blanket of snow covering the trees and landscape transforms nature into a fairytale land. Iso-Syöte is a great place to learn to ski but is also fantastic for people looking for an alternative winter holiday and experience adventure activities. It is a winter wonderland. Two ski centres, over 20 slopes. The fell area has two ski centres. Iso-Syöte Fell and Pikku-Syöte Fell across the valley offer downhill skiers alternatives ranging from easy to challenging. You can ski well into the evening on the lighted slopes, taking a break every now and then to visit the ski bistros to renew your energy.

Skiing in Iso-Syöte is mainly suited to beginners and intermediates with smooth runs down the fell. The Freeride run through the trees will delight you whilst snowboarders can get up to their tricks on Snowboard Street and the Halfpipe. In case you cannot get enough skiing, most of the runs are floodlit so you can enjoy the amazing semi dark Arctic sky with crisp snow under you skis.
