Kimberley (Canada) Skiing Holidays
Resort Height: 1280mKimberley Alpine Resort offers an incredible variety of skiing terrain in a beautiful setting. Add no queues for the lifts, runs groomed to perfection, on slope accommodation and you have an ideal ski resort, which also offers very affordable prices.
Kimberley boasts the longest illuminated run in Canada where the slopes are yours to play on until 9pm at night, Thursday to Saturday, night skiing is included in your lift pass.
The resort is located on North Star Mountain, which has a picture perfect view of the Canadian Rockies across the valley. Kimberley’s downtown centre has a Bavarian theme and is a short 5 minutes drive from the Kimberley Alpine Resort where you will find a selection of unique shops, bars and dining opportunities.
BeginnersKimberley's 'Owl beginners area' is a wide gentle nursury area conveniently located at the foot of the North Star mountain. From there progress to the front side of the mountain with long, wide open runs perfectly groomed for cruising and carving pleasure.
Intermediate
Kimberley is ideal for blue and red runners with its well groomed treelined runs. The more accomplished skiers will find exhilerating runs on Easter Bowl, where the powder is deeper.
Advanced
The Easter Bowl is a haven for the more adventurous skier and rider with it's many steep and deep mogul runs. If your ego is up for it, try Easter Run or head to the blacks by 'Jack the Bear'
Snowboarding
The entire mountain is yours to enjoy, as well as the well designed terrain park which encourages progressions for beginners and intermediate riders with a range of jumps and rails. Or just enjoy the off piste with plenty of natural obstacles.
