The superior and comfortable Romantik-Hotel Zell am See (originally the Metzgerwirt) is personally run by the Hörl family who have built up an excellent reputation for quality, comfort and cuisine over the years. Traditional and homely, it still presents many historic features and also presents a leisure spa with indoor/outdoor pool. Centrally located only 7 minutes walk from the Zeller gondola (Original and new wings interconnected).
Bedrooms: 35. Charming original wing Bürger’ twins have bath, wc and lounge area; new wing superior ‘Herrschaft’ have shower, wc, balcony and larger lounge area. Superior 2-roomed suites, type ‘Fürsten’ also have a separate bedroom. Small 'Studenten' twins are availble for single occupancy at a reduction. All are with cable TV, phone, safe, radio, bathrobes and hairdryer.
Meals: Hot & cold buffet breakfast with bacon & eggs and 4-course dinner with 3 choices of each course plus salad buffet.
Facilities: Comfortable yet rustic wood-panelled lounge with cocktail bar; residents’ restaurant; lovely olde-worlde stüberls with antiques; leisure spa with free use of indoor/outdoor pool, sauna, whirlpool & turkish bath; new wing lift.
