Resort Height: 828m
This is the perfect resort for beginners with wide nursery slopes in the centre of the village, first-class ski instruction and ski storage organised right next to ski school. The ski school award presentation at the end of the week is not to be missed with the ski instructors own band playing live music in a local bar.

Niederau is an ideal resort for beginners with broad nursery slopes extending down into the village and excellent English-speaking tuition provided by the ski school. The Neilson 'Learn to Turn' package is ideal for beginners and includes the end of week ski races and ski presentation.
Intermediate
The Wildschonau lift pass covers a good selection of open easy and intermediate runs at the top of the new Markbachjoch gondola. Skiing from the Lanerkopfl includes a long red back to the village. Auffach is also included in the pass, opening up more reds. All the villages on the lift pass are linked by a free ski bus.
Advanced
A little limited for the advanced but offers a few red and black runs plus off-piste skiing opportunities, while Auffach offers some powder possibilities above the tree-line.
Snowboarding
Not much for the advanced, however, an excellent resort to learn. Auffach has a half-pipe and snowboard park for the more experienced freestyle boarders.
Apres Ski
Relaxed and informal, catering for all tastes with bowling, tobogganing and moonlight sleigh rides. There are cosy stuberls for gluhwein, live music and a choice of three discos - something to suit all tastes. Oberau tends to be quieter with just a few bars.
Children
The ski school in Niederau runs its own creche for children whose parents are in ski school. Niederau and Oberau both offer ski-kindergartens. In Niederau, the skiing kindergarten is offered by the ski school. In Oberau, it is offered by the 'Happy Ski School'. Both are situated at the foot of the nursery slopes and teach children aged 4-10 years to ski. They operate between 10.00-15.30. Lunch and lunchtime supervision is also available
